2011 PricewaterhouseCoopers Survey of U.S. Petroleum Accounting Practices in association with the Institute of Petroleum Accounting.Published by the Institute of Petroleum Accounting at the University of North Texas and PricewaterhouseCoopers, the survey is a compilation of responses from oil and gas exploration and production companies to a wide ranging series of accounting and disclosure questions. The goal is to analyze industry practices in applying pronouncements of the FASB and SEC. The survey also addresses questions regarding the movement toward international financial reporting standards and the related SEC roadmap.
Petroleum Accounting and Financial Management Journal. The Journal (formerly the Journal of Extractive Industries Accounting then the Journal of Petroleum Accounting) is published three times per year and contains general, technical, and research articles concerning accounting, economics, environmental issues, finance, taxation, and government regulation of the U.S. and global petroleum, energy, and extractive industries. Each spring issue contains a cumulative topical index of all articles published from 1982 forward. You can also search the table of contents of the Journal via our website.
Petroleum Accounting: Principles, Procedures, & Issues, 7th ed., Published by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the professional Development Institute at the University of North Texas. The up-to-date text will focus on U. S. financial accounting and reporting for petroleum exploration and production activities considering the many changes that have occurred since the 6th edition was published. The 7th edition, to be released in December 2011, will feature numerous enhancements from earlier editions, updated graphics and examples, regulatory updates from the SEC, FASB, EITF, IRS and other bodies.
